General Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Oversee inventory control, food safety compliance, and proper food handling procedures to maintain health standards and minimize waste.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Supervise kitchen management, food production, and catering activities to deliver excellent culinary experiences across casual dining, fine dining, or banquet settings.
• Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training programs, and performance evaluations to foster a cohesive team environment.
• Conduct staffing interviews and manage shift scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction; implement strategies accordingly.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest feedback promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Coordinate with suppliers for food procurement, inventory management, and timely deliveries to support seamless restaurant operations.
• Uphold food safety regulations and manage food safety programs to guarantee compliance with local health codes.

Skills

• Extensive experience in food service management with a strong background in managing hospitality teams across various dining formats including casual, fine dining, catering, or hotel environments.
• Proven leadership skills in supervising staff, managing teams, conducting interviews, and fostering professional development.
• Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and sales reconciliation.
• Deep understanding of food preparation processes, kitchen management, inventory control, and food safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues swiftly while maintaining positive guest relationships.
• Strong managerial capabilities in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, shift management, and operational planning.
• Knowledge of culinary practices including food production, catering services, bar operations (including barista & coffee experience), and banquet management is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
