Job Description
A loving family near Peachtree City is seeking a dedicated and organized House Manager / Family Assistant to support their busy household of five. This role focuses primarily on household management, with occasional involvement in helping the children get started on homework or a quick trip to the bus stop for pickup. The family is looking for someone who can bring a calming presence to their home, fostering a peaceful and productive home environment.
Responsibilities include managing the family’s laundry, including weekly washing of clothes, sheets, and towels. While the children are responsible for putting away their own laundry, the House Manager will handle washing and folding as well as ensuring daily tidiness, focusing on maintaining the kitchen and living room by keeping counters wiped, dishes done, and spaces organized. Cooking and meal prep are essential components of this role, including preparing simple breakfasts for the week, assisting with dinner prep, grocery shopping, and meal planning.
Additional responsibilities involve but are not limited to errands such as managing Amazon returns, running to the post office, purchasing gifts, and pantry organization. They are also looking for someone who can handle light household projects, like sorting the kids’ closets as they grow out of clothes, making appointments, and handling reservations. The ideal candidate will bring solutions and suggestions to improve the household’s efficiency while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. The family values a calm environment and would love someone who can encourage and support the family with their daily and weekly needs!
The role is guaranteed 30 hours per week, starting in January, with a competitive hourly rate of $30-$35. There is no current travel required, but the family would love someone who could assist with travel management in the future.
