Description
Location : UCHealth UCHlth Poudre Valley Hospital, US : CO : Fort Collins
Department : PVH Resource Serv
FTE : Part Time, 0.5, 20.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift : Nights
Pay : $42.90 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary : Provides leadership for all nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shift. Monitors and evaluates performance of agency and temporary staff, especially nursing staff.
Responsibilities :
Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for managerial assistance. Notifies MOC / AOC as necessary.
Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization's resources .
Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
Responds to complaints / conflicts and manages through established channels. Makes administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC / AOC.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements : Basic Life Support
Registered Nurse
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
ADN, BSN required for hires / transfers after 1 / 1 / 15.
Preferred : Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
ACLS required for North Region within 3 months of hire.
Other relevant certification as determined at position level.
2 years of nursing experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
