Key Responsibilities :

The Director of Nursing Services will be responsible for the overall operations, implementation, and evaluation of activities for inpatient and emergency care at SRMC.

This role involves supervising duties and directing the work of two or more employees, ensuring the delivery of optimal and safe patient care.

Key accountabilities include fiscal management, standards compliance, clinical practice, staff development, and performance improvement activities that evaluate program effectiveness.

The Director of Nursing Services will operate independently with minimal supervision, determining their own practices and procedures, and contributing to the development of new concepts.

They will ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures, and patient care may include Neonate, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups.

Key Duties :

• PATIENT SAFETY 1 - Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols
• PATIENT SAFETY 2 - Demonstrate a proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning current policies and processes
• PATIENT SAFETY 3 - Identify and report / correct environmental conditions and / or situations that may put a patient at undue risk
• PATIENT SAFETY 4 - Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors, and / or near misses in a timely manner
