JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Director will provide supervision, coordination, and management of the Dual Diagnosis Transitional Residential, Bridge House. The incumbent will implement effective public relations activities, positive employee interaction, professional functioning and adhere to the principles of social rehabilitation. In addition, provide on call support to program staff when needed and must live within a 45-minute radius of the Program (Marina).

HOW TO APPLY
COMPENSATION
$79,102 - $123,802 annually. Exempt; Not Eligible for overtime. Compensation based on education and experience. If hired, eligible for licensed site hourly incentive.

Division Director of Program Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required : Bachelors in a related field; one-year experience in mental health of which four months are in the capacity of supervisory experience. Knowledge of principles of working with adults with severe mental illness and substance use disorders; skills in counseling and crisis intervention. Live within 30 minutes of program site.
Preferred : Master’s degree in a related field with one of the following licenses : LMFT, LSCW, LPCC or license eligible or Clinical Psychologist or RN. Four years’ experience in mental health treatment in which two years’ is in the capacity of supervisory experience.
Valid California driver's license; auto in safe operating condition; auto liability insurance; good driving record; criminal record clearance; proof of authorization to work in the United States as required by Immigration and Reform Act of 1986. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-call services and support to program staff when needed and live within a 45-minute radius of the Program (Marina).
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, supervision, scheduling, training, and development of program staff with the support of the Assistant Program Director.
- Coordinate work of staff and co-facilitate and organize staff meetings with Assistant Program Director.
- Program planning, development, and evaluation, including the development of program procedures, materials, and forms. Implementation of a work plan to ensure achievement of program objectives, including establishing, monitoring, and revision, as needed, of program processes and procedures.
- Liaison and coordinate with County Behavioral Health system, other private and public social services, mental health agencies and other Interim programs.
- Establish and maintain collaboration with other Interim Inc. programs such as Shelter Cove, The Academy, and Keep It Real for referral, assessment, and continuum of care treatment approach of client admission and discharge planning.
- Maintenance of accurate records, using both computerized and manual methods. Examples include program statistics, client records (including Medi-Cal documentation), medical records, financial records, and outcome measures. Ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Provision of direct client services, including client intake, treatment planning, crisis management, and discharge planning as needed.
- Oversight of client referrals and program wait lists. Oversee coordination of client intakes, assuring that all required documentation is received prior to intake.
- Close coordination with Community Care Licensing and the Department of Health Care Services to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Management and monitoring of program budget.
- Supervision of maintenance of the facility.
- Attend Program Manager’s meetings and designated specialty meetings such as budget review and outcomes.
- Serve as a role model for positive employee relations, professional functioning, and for adherence to the principles of social rehabilitation.
- Implementation of effective public relations activities as assigned, including but not limited to networking, attending meetings, and providing program presentations.
- Supervise other programs and staff as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to : operate a motor vehicle; climb stairs; possess good communication skills; meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed. Capable of the following extended activities : standing, sitting, climbing stairs. Capable of the following intermittent activities : lifting 25 pounds or more and bending in the performance of infrequently performed office duties.
