Looking for a reliable, trustworthy housekeeper/household helper for approximately 3 hours once a week on an ongoing basis. I work long hours, and my mom is older and does what she can around the house. We’re not looking for a perfectly spotless house or a one-time deep cleaning. We mainly need someone who can help us keep the house clean, comfortable, and manageable from week to week. Regular weekly tasks would generally include: - Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors - Cleaning bathrooms - Wiping counters and other surfaces - Kitchen cleanup and dishes/loading or unloading the dishwasher - Taking out trash and recycling - General tidying and household reset - Cleaning litter boxes and the surrounding areas - Picking up dog waste in the yard - Vacuuming couches and upholstered chairs, including under removable cushions - Removing pet hair from furniture and spot-cleaning upholstery as needed - Laundry, folding, towels, and/or changing bedding as needed Other tasks can be rotated in as needed and as time allows, such as: - More detailed dusting - Baseboards - Blinds and ceiling fans - Windows, windowsills, and window tracks - Oven and microwave cleaning - Refrigerator cleaning - Cabinet fronts - Pet bowls, bedding, and pet areas - Vacuuming/cleaning underneath accessible furniture - Other occasional deeper-cleaning or household tasks The priorities may vary a little from week to week. The goal is to take care of the regular cleaning first and then use any remaining time for whatever would be most helpful that week. For example, if the house is already in pretty good shape, we may ask for help with laundry or one of the rotating cleaning tasks instead. We do have pets, so being comfortable around dogs and cats is important, including pet hair and pet-related cleanup. Ideally, we’d like to find someone dependable who can come on the same day each week and become familiar with our home and what needs to be done. We’re looking for someone comfortable with a flexible household-helper type of role rather than following a strict cleaning checklist.
