Housekeeper

Provides cleaning, floor care, moving, grounds and project services as directed by supervisor.

Essential responsibilities include performing all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor, performing related services such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc., maintaining high standards, interacting hospitably and supportively with staff, patients, visitors, and work colleagues, maintaining equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition, responding rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc., accepting suggestions and direction from supervisors and Hospital staff, honoring department's attendance, break, behavior, dress, and safety codes, accepting and absorbing Department and Hospital education program, exercising good judgment while working around patients and visitors, remaining professional at all times, taking initiative in rendering service or responding to needs, assisting other associates, as necessary, responding to direction as provided.

General responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 0-3 years of experience, 1 or more years of housekeeping or service worker experience preferred, no licenses / certifications / registrations required, command of English strongly preferred, knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools.
