Position Overview :
We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to support our growing team. This role will be primarily administrative and heavily focused on recruiting and onboarding new employees, but also plays a vital role in benefits coordination, HRIS management, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, process-driven, and ready to support day-to-day HR functions that keep our teams running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment & Onboarding :
- Draft and post job descriptions across multiple platforms.
- Coordinate and conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews.
- Manage background checks, offer letters, and onboarding paperwork.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Enter and update information in the HRIS system (Paycor).
- Prepare documentation for employee status changes, terminations, and benefits enrollment.
- Act as the primary contact for our benefits brokers.
- Coordinate open enrollment, process benefit changes, and assist employees with questions.
- Ensure compliance with ACA reporting and other benefits-related regulations.
- Provide support in handling employee concerns and conducting workplace investigations.
- Partner with leadership on performance discussions, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state (Kansas / Missouri) and federal employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paycor a plus.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience in a multi-site or field-based workforce is a plus.
