Job Title : Safety Coordinator / HR Generalist
Location : Cherokee, IA
Salary : $55,000–$70,000 DOE
Overview :
Join a growing manufacturing company as a Safety Coordinator / HR Generalist. This role supports workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and HR initiatives while helping maintain a safe, productive environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies
Identify and address safety risks; lead incident investigations and corrective actions
Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and training
Maintain safety and regulatory documentation
Support HR functions including policy implementation and employee relations
Collaborate with management and all shifts to promote a culture of safety
Qualifications :
5+ years in industrial manufacturing, supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency with computers (MS Office, HRIS, or compliance software)
Safety certifications (CPE, CSP, CIH) a plus
Ability to work independently and across all shifts
