Subsidiary of publicly traded nationwide distributor looking for Human Resource Manager. Primary duty is to manage personnel function within the company and provide interface with parent corporation. Experience in publicly traded corporate environment, including SOX compliance, is strongly preferred. We are in the Westport area of St. Louis County, and position in an in-office role (no remote). Position reports to the President.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage review, performance and reporting environments in support of parent corporation policies.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Establish personnel files and place employees in payroll system
- Coordinate benefit processing, enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and disability and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs
- Respond to benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes, claim issues and other general inquiries
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee records
- Distribute open enrollment and summary plan descriptions
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Ensure timely filing of ACA and AAP reports
- Manage basic office operations including reception and mailroom
- Organize and coordinate social events – birthdays, holidays, sales meetings.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
3 - 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a public corporate environment
Basic Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
Detail oriented
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
