BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Deputy Director, the Senior Human Resources Analyst supports UFA's mission and vision by performing complex personnel duties including, benefit administration, policy development, recruitment, compensation, and employee relations such as performance, engagement, and discipline.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The Senior Human Resources Analyst works under the supervision and direction of the Human Resources Deputy Director.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The following list describes several of the essential functions of this position. This list may be supplemented as necessary :
- Promotes and supports the mission and values of the UFA.
- Administers employee benefit programs, including open enrollment, and creates communication plans and education materials for distribution on the UFA website during open enrollment, etc. Works closely with insurance brokers, carriers, management, and employees to obtain and review claims and information as necessary.
- Assists in personnel issues with research, preparing documentation, creating written correspondence, etc. Processes confidential information and exercises discretion in protecting and releasing confidential information.
- Prepares personnel reports that need to be tracked and researched, such as allocation, turnover, and EEO reporting.
- Participates in designing, facilitating, and evaluating promotional processes, assessment centers, and leadership development opportunities.
- Coordinates the background process for sworn employees and will assist with sworn and civilian recruitment as needed.
- Researches, creates, revises, and implements administrative policies and procedures in collaboration with the Policy Advisory Committee, the Policy Analyst, the Human Resources Director, and the Chief Legal Officer.
- Assists HR Director in department budget preparation, analysis, and administration.
- Administers the offboarding process for all employees separating / retiring from UFA to ensure a smooth transition.
- Assists with compensation initiatives for sworn and civilian employees.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a general office environment during routine office hours, Monday through Friday. However, early morning meetings are required, and after-hours and weekend work are possible. Work activities vary widely, including attendance at meetings, field and classroom training, and driving. Work may include infrequent response to emergencies to assist with logistical and / or administrative duties.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential job functions satisfactorily. This position involves periods of prolonged sitting and use of computer equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position requires occasional driving and the ability to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
