Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will lead the HR function for approximately 200 employees.

Responsibilities :

Research best practices and ensure current HR policies are up-to-date and compliant

Provide clear interpretation of policies to leaders as needed

Develop and enhance employee handbook

Administer company benefits program

Identify training needs for the organization and assist in the development of training programs

Design and rollout employee engagement survey and track results

Lead projects related to succession planning and engagement

Collaborate with the recruitment coordinator on hiring strategies and assist with employee onboarding

Produce accurate and relevant metrics and reports

Qualifications :

Post-secondary education in Human Resources

2+ years of experience in a coordinator, advisor or generalist capacity

CPHR designation (or in progress) would be an asset

Previous experience in construction or industrial industries would be an asset

Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

Must be able to self-manage daily duties and time in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing environment

Ability to organize and follow-up multiple tasks / details with accuracy and timeliness

Ability to listen and maintain patience during difficult situations

Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds

Ability to work independently and with a team
