The Human Resources Assistant will support the HR initiatives at the Fire Tower location. This includes absence management, employee relations, record keeping, systems management and data accuracy. This role will also support recognition and communication efforts within the plant while acting as a trusted resource for employees and management.
This role is on-site in Tonawanda, NY.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee files, records and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Promote, support and educate employees on Employee systems including but not limited to the internal Recognition Program, Careers, Workday, payroll etc.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Updates various communication channels (TVs, bulletin boards, newsletter) to ensure employees stay informed.
- Support other functions with accurate employee record keeping i.e. safety training records.
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
