Position Status : Full-time
Hours : Monday - Thursday | 7 : 30am - 5 : 30pm
Salary : DOE
DA I - $20.85 - $26.05 - $31.25
DA II - $22.75 - $28.45 - $34.15
DA III - $25.05 - $31.30 - $37.55
Sign-on Bonus : $2000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.)
Referral Bonus : $500 (Referral bonus’ expire at the close of this job posting)
YOUR ROLE :
Come join our Dental team! As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) you will assist the Dentist in examining and treating patients and become part of a strong and positive team focused on helping others.
SPECIFIC DUTIES :
Assists dentists or dental hygienist in transfer of instruments utilizing standard dental assisting principles. Including “4 handed” dentistry in preparation and delivering dental materials and instruments.
Take digital radiographs to assist in oral evaluation and treatment planning.
Follow established protocols for disinfecting and sterilizing operatories and dental instruments.
Promotes teamwork and fosters cooperation among dental staff. Creates a patient centered environment in which we make all attempts necessary to schedule and treat patients in a timely manner.
Takes vital signs and reviews and updates patient history as directed. Lays out appropriate instruments for procedures and provides emergency evaluation of patients when necessary.
Restocks the rooms as necessary.
Represents the Agency in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS : Certified EFDA
X-ray certified
One-year dental assisting experience preferred
English / Spanish preferred
