Human resources manager Jobs in New Bedford, MA

Leading the human resources function at Hawthorn Medical Associates, you will focus on bringing an optimal employee experience to existing team members as well as new team members. This role will work with both the Hawthorn Medical Associates providers and Steward Medical Group staff.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a large organization while maintaining autonomy.

This role is on-site, based in Dartmouth, MA and reports to our Senior Director of Human Resources with a dotted line to the President.

Responsibilities :

• Ensures the development of departmental plans, goals, mission, policies / procedures, budget. Ensures selection, training, monitoring and evaluation of departmental staff.
• Develops and implements strategic HR plan for the facility including recruitment, orientation, compensation, benefit administrator, and employee relations.
• Provides technical oversight of HR programs and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies, federal, state and local laws.

• Administers physician and advanced practitioner benefit plans, coordinates annual Open Enrollment, enrolled new providers into elected plans and makes changes as required. File annual HIRD report with the State of Massachusetts for health plan information and annual private PFML plan request with the State of Massachusetts.
• Provides HR, diversity and other training to staff and management to increase morale, effectiveness, productivity and knowledge of HR policies, procedures and practices.
• Provides administration and support of record keeping and reporting requirements including, but not limited to ADA, FMLA, COBRA, workers compensation, employee compensation, retirement system, benefits administration, short-term disability, applicant tracking / position control and employee personnel files. Recommends changes to policy and training to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
