Position Details :
HC Solutions Group is seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in water / wastewater engineering. The ideal candidate has planning, design, permitting, and construction experience in the water / wastewater market for various client types. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow technical and project management knowledge, skills, and abilities for today’s water and infrastructure-focused environment.
Job Duties :
- Assist in water / wastewater process and pipeline design projects.
- Work on multi-discipline teams to complete water and wastewater planning, evaluation, design, and construction projects related to collection, conveyance, and distribution systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and asset upgrade / rehabilitation.
- Assist with Civil / Process Engineering design projects including schematic / preliminary design, design development, final design, specifications, permitting, bid-phase services, and construction contract document production.
- Participates in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
- Field work may include water sampling, site inspection, and construction administration support including completing field observation reports.
- The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work and interface well in a collaborative and detail-oriented project team environment.
- Ensures that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Possesses strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and analysis modules.
- Performs moderate to complex water / wastewater / civil design tasks while delegating more routine tasks to staff with less experience.
- Mentor, guide and check the work of less experienced staff.
- Strong team collaboration, oral and written communication, design expertise, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Adhere to safety and quality procedures of GAI and our clients.
- Travel to other offices / meet with clients / attend project-specific meetings.
