Job Description SUMMARY HVAC technicians install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems withing the plant buildings. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in buildings throughout the plant. The HVAC technician is multidimensional, combining practical skills with technical knowledge. HVAC Technicians must have experience in working on a commercial setting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems Inspect functioning systems for potential issues and preventative maintenance Install new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projects Follow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systems Test and troubleshoot your installations after completion Interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map out installation. Installing components such as compressors, motors, piping, and ducts. Connecting systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components. Testing individual components to ensure proper installation and operation. Ensuring compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintaining a safe work environment. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshooting systems and identifying problems. Replacing or repairing defective parts. Performing emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standards Keeps detailed records of work performed and parts used.
