Shift : Full Time Days 6 : 45am - 7 : 15pm 3 / 12's per week

Registered Nurse - Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit / ICU - Universal Bed Cub Model

Patient Population : Heart, Lung, and Vascular. Post procedural (including post cath / EP) advanced heart failure and more.

Department Specifics : Department is full of driven, self-motivated, continual learners. The 3 rd Floor Tele Progressive Care Unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity cardiovascular patients.

Number of Unit beds : 24

Patient Ratios : PCU : 1 : 3, TELE 1 : 4, ICU 1 : 2

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

What You'll Do

• You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
• Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
• You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
• Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
• You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
• Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

Required Experience : Candidate MUST have minimum of 1-2 years recent, full-time Telemetry and / or Cardiac Progressive Care.

Prefer 2+ years of experience that includes cardiovascular PCU, Step Down or Intermediate Care)
