Ardelle Associates is seeking an Litigation Paralegal to support the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Affirmative Civil Enforcement ("ACE") Unit in Louisville, KY.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal concepts, procedures and terminology; Research and Analytical skills; Organizational skills; Technology Proficiency (litigation support software); Communication skills; Attention to Detail; Time Management; Collaboration and Teamwork skills; Adaptability; and be able to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct.
TYPICAL DUTIES
The duties of the Litigation Support Paralegal include researching and analyzing case law, statutes, and judicial precedents, managing discovery and responding to propounded discovery, drafting subpoenas and civil investigatory demands, organizing and preparing evidence and documents for pretrial preparations, utilizing computer hardware and litigation support programs for presentations, reviewing a variety of legal and non-legal documents, performing electronic file processing and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with ESI specifications, providing helpdesk support, and training users on litigation support applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or Paralegal Certificate. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- One (1) year of experience performing electronic discovery roles including but not limited to electronic files
processing, image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval;
Reference Model (EDRM) workflow;
