We are looking for an Immigration Specialist to join our growing People Experience team! The ideal candidate has prior immigration experience and a strong dedication to customer service. They are skilled at solving problems autonomously while applying good judgment to make key immigration decisions, comfortable managing deadline pressure, ambiguity and change related to the ever-changing immigration landscape, escalating issues when vital and advocating for responsible solutions to immigration problems

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do :

  • Work as the main point of contact for foreign national inquiries through our internal ticketing system, email and Zoom
  • Recommend alternatives to business leaders for employees whose visa applications are not approved and / or renewals and extensions are approaching maximum duration
  • Independently manage caseload for both nonimmigrant and immigrant / green card and visa matters
  • Assist with updating policy / process and project plan documentation (e.g., employee green card FAQs, immigration resources, standardized employee and manager communications)
  • Provide high-volume project management and administration of U.S. and global employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visas, work permits, intracompany transfers, and permanent residency applications.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration and employment laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of monthly visa expiration report for expiring work authorizations, ensuring timely I-9 updates and other employment re-verifications and visa / work permit extensions.
  • Administer and manage Permanent Residence processes and related PERM, I-140, and I-485 applications including timeline and cost discussions with managers, analysis of minimum job and prevailing wage requirements, and recruitment efforts in coordination with external council.
  • Administer and manager annual and ongoing U.S., Canada and global visa processes from start to finish, including : TN (border and consular), L-1A / B, Student F-1 (CPT / OPT / STEM) including I-983 Training Plan reviews, H-1B CAPS and extensions, transfers, preparation and management approvals for lottery submissions, Notice of Filings, Public Access Files, Prevailing Wage and level analysis and discussions with managers, reviewing and crafting visa job descriptions.
  • Regularly review and update immigration policies, procedures, tools, and guidance to keep company intranet / handbook information current.
  • Maintain a close relationship with Talent Acquisition, People Experience Partners, team members and managers regarding immigration cases, request case-related information as needed, and keep stakeholders apprised of case updates.

What You've Done :

  • Deep understanding of non-immigrant visa classifications, including H-1B, F-1, TN, L-1, O-1 and E-3.
  • Strong knowledge of immigrant visa process, including PERM, I-140 and AOS.
  • Experience with audit compliance (I-9 / site visits and PAF audits).
  • Able to establish trust and rapport with foreign nationals, contributing to a seamless immigration process.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and organize multiple time-sensitive tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, legal studies, business administration, political science, or international relations.
  • 4 years of immigration experience with an understanding of US Immigration programs and laws.
  • A minimum of one year of proven experience in immigration law, procedures, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, and attorneys.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and UKG Pro.

  • The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
