Ameresco is seeking a Director of Project Implementation to oversee the construction pipeline for multiple projects in Hawaii . This portfolio encompasses power plant installations, solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), as well as mechanical systems such as boiler plants, HVAC units, and chiller systems.
Responsibilities :
Oversee the implementation of energy system-focused projects for Ameresco-owned assets and customers, including Federal military bases, public institutions, state governments, and commercial entities.
Manage project execution to adhere to site safety and health programs.
Ensure project execution meets the standards outlined in our Project Quality Control Plans. This includes managing subcontractors to maintain quality control and delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.
Manage project budget, including expenditures, job cost accounting, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking.
Collaborate with Engineering and Development Team on project design and development to guide scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation, scheduling, commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance.
Work with the Development Team and Management to prepare bid packages that ensure competitive costs, optimal schedules, and efficient delivery for all project supplies, equipment, and construction services.
Regularly update stakeholders on project status during the design and construction phases.
Deliver project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and foster collaboration.
Ensure adherence to company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.
Build constructive and efficient business relationships at all levels and stages of the project. Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relations.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of project management experience delivering large-scale projects from development through implementation. These projects should be within industrial power plants, solar / electrical, mechanical, or engineering construction focusing on complex facility infrastructure projects.
Additional Qualifications :
Experience with power plant installation is preferred.
Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Procore.
Scheduling experience using Primavera P-6 preferred.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state.
