About Company / Opportunity
We are a privately held real estate investment and property management company that needs a hybrid Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. If you have 3+ years of legal experience with real estate and property management, than this could be the perfect position for you!
As Corporate Counsel, you will
- Assist the General Counsel on legal matters related to the company’s corporate and real estate transactions, including Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Manage potential risks, liabilities, and financial exposures to safeguard the company's interests.
- Oversee all litigation against the company and coordinate with external legal teams and insurance providers.
- Supervise the handling and resolution of insurance claims, and manage investigations and assessments related to coverage.
- Assist with tenant complaints and disputes and oversee the eviction process.
- Negotiate, draft, revise and manage complex commercial agreements.
- Manage budgetary responsibilities and contribute to strategic planning in collaboration with internal teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including responding to inquiries on various legal matters such as taxes, employment, contracts, insurance, risk management, licensing, organizational policies and corporate governance.
