Job Summary

The Austin Lighthouse is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Industrial Laundry SME to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and improving our industrial laundry operations, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial laundry processes, equipment, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight : Supervise and manage the daily operations of the industrial laundry facility, ensuring all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Quality Control : Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
  • Process creation : Assist with process creating within the laundry operations and develop strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Equipment Management : Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Training and Development : Assist with providing training and support to laundry staff on best practices, safety protocols, and efficient work methods.
  • Compliance : Ensure all laundry operations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Inventory Management : Manage inventory levels of laundry supplies and chemicals, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage.
  • Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on laundry operations, including performance metrics, cost analysis, and improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with department head, other departments and external partners to align laundry operations with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Complies with and assists other employees understand and comply with TAB's policies and procedures.

  • Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in industrial laundry operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial laundry management, with a proven track record of operational excellence.
  • Physical Requirements

    With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to :

  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer
  • Ability to be in a stationary position (stand / sit) for 4-8 hours
  • Ability to lift / move up to 25 lbs. at times
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, adjust position for 20% of time
  • Ability to work in conditions with varying temperature, including cold and / or heat
  • Physical ability to perform tasks related to industrial laundry operations.
