Summary
The Shop Mechanic performs repairs and overhauls of components under the supervision of Sr. Mechanics. The Mechanic shall maintain a professional and positive attitude, perform quality workmanship, and be responsive to customer needs.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
ROLE
Ability to perform inspections and document results.
- Ability to perform repairs and overhauls of components.
- Assist in the repair and overhaul of products on marine vessels or at customer sites when necessary.
- Assigned to shop and warehouse duties including general machining, assembly, part receiving, inventory, and miscellaneous shop duties.
TECHNICAL
Perform work related tasks in accordance with company product-line tech manuals.
SAFETY
Perform work related tasks in accordance with published safety guidelines.
ADMINISTRATION
Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Perform high quality workmanship.
PERFORMANCE
Complete all work in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Associate degree in a technical discipline
WORKING CONDITIONS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have ability to regularly lift at least 35 pounds.
