Job description

Regional Sales Manager

One of my best clients, a leading precision CNC manufacturing cutting tool manufacturer, is looking for an Area Sales Manager. A bit about the company :

For over 40 years, they have been a leading US and international cutting machine tool manufacturer. They are recession-durable. They offer great benefits and a culture you can build a career in successfully. They are structured, stable, and high tech.

The job :

  • Building and fostering customer relationships. Promoting the sale of Company products and providing technical sales support. Conferring with Applications Engineers to assess equipment needs.
  • Developing, presenting, or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements.
  • Proactively visit customer facilities to review outstanding engineering and service-related problems, including strategic reviews of sales opportunities. Visit customer facilities to resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Semiannual visits to OEM stateside and international factories.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to accomplish yearly sales goals. Partner with engineering staff for demonstrations.

Minimal Requirements

  • Technical sales experience of industrial equipment. 3-5 years in B2B sales / Business Development of relevant products. Machining and automation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ME, or relevant technical background experience.
  • 75% travel in the state or a state around NY.
  • Experience within structured and stable collaborative national or international organizations OR the ability to thrive in them.
  • Minimal Requirements

  • Relevant Degree 5+ years’ of B2B relevant sales w business development
  • Recent experience in machine tool environments.
