Description
Summary :
The Principal Trainer II is responsible for theinstructional design and all related tasks associated with theirassigned application(s). This position is responsible for building,testing, and maintaining the EPIC training environment, managingupdates to policy and procedure documentation related to training,and conducting training for new staff, including CredentialedTrainers. The Principal Trainer is responsible for achieving anin-depth understanding of the assigned software, policies andprocedures, and workflows. The Principal Trainer is a member of theproject team and participates in discussions regarding building,testing, and maintaining the training environment, as well as thedevelopment and maintenance of training materials for the trainingand optimization programs. The Principal Trainer is responsible foranalyzing, designing, building, and testing as well astroubleshooting of application and technical issues related totraining environments. The Principal Trainer is certified inassigned application(s) and the respective Training EnvironmentBuild.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders,subject matter experts, informatics, and analysts to ensuretraining and support is aligned with approvedworkflows
- Collaborate with Training LogisticsCoordinators or Credentialed Trainers to schedule and assigncoverage for classes and support; coordinate appropriate level ofend-user training
- Train and credentialclassroom trainers
- Orient and supportCredentialed Trainers in day-to-dayactivities
- Attend meetings, producedeliverables on time, and escalate issues or concernsappropriately
- Responsible for InstructionalDesign including workflow-based and role-specific class content,eLearnings, job aides, and Learning HomeDashboards
- Customize Training Wheels,coordinate Curriculum Review Boards, maintain DeliverableTracker(s), use approved templates, and adhere to standardizedstyle-guides
- Complete job shadows, delivertraining, support end users, and mentor Credentialed Trainers asneeded
- Function as an advocate for end usersby relaying issues or opportunities for improvement to informaticsand analysts
- Develop detailed curriculumcontent, including scenario / workflow-based training, job aids tosupport related policies and procedures
- Build,test, and maintain the trainingenvironment
- Conduct training for specificapplication area(s)
- Provide onsite or remotesupport to operational users
- Deliver trainingwhen necessary and / or support end users
- Provideend user feedback to Analysts and identify improvement strategiesfor system design and implementation
- Coordinatetraining for new software releases andupdates
- Coordinate post-live training for newand existing users
- Must track multipledocuments, attend meetings and meet deadlines; strongorganizational and communication skills arerequired
- Perform other job duties as assignedby management
