Hodgson Russ LLP, a regional law firm with two hundred plus attorneys in nine offices, is seeking a Document Control and Information Management Specialist to join our dynamic and growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for :
- Data organization and retrieval : Efficiently storing, accessing, and managing large volumes of documents and data within a structured system.
- Data analysis : Extracting specific information from documents and data any synthesizing information into work product (e.g. tally of types of documentation or information).
- System organization : Maintaining and optimizing document organization systems.
- Document control : Assisting with document "chain of control" by helping to maintain a detailed record that tracks the movement and access of a document throughout its lifecycle, from creation, distribution, execution, recording (if applicable) to final delivery, ensuring accountability by documenting who handled it and when, providing a clear line of responsibility for the document's completion.
- Document Assistance : Assisting with the development of document or content classification taxonomies to facilitate information capture, search, and retrieval. Together with assisting in recording documentation in Clerk's Office.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to deliver highly accurate and reliable results together with strong analytical and technical skills. An associate's degree in paralegal studies or bachelor's degree in business, liberal arts, or some other closely related field. The renewable energy team is highly collaborative, with attorneys, paralegals, and other professionals working together to execute complex projects. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo is $49,200 to $60,450. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
