This hands-on role is designed for someone who enjoys leading teams and making a significant impact on our client’s cost-effectiveness, service quality, and overall IT operations.
You will play an essential part in their journey to adopt Agile and Scrum methodologies, helping IT become a reliable partner that delivers consistent, high-quality services to the business.
140,000-$165,000 + bonus
Key Responsibilities :
Launch and manage the IT Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure projects and tasks are effectively tracked and successfully completed.
Collaborate with the VP of IT to develop an annual IT plan and budget that aligns with Windows USA’s broader business planning and budgeting.
Provide valuable insights and support to the IT leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide business decisions.
Monitor and report on the performance of IT projects, comparing actual results to expected outcomes, budgets, and timelines.
Ensure that everyone in the IT department is utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies, and facilitate project tracking in Jira.
Assist the VP of IT with central budgeting and forecasting initiatives to streamline IT spending.
Proactively plan and coordinate IT resources to effectively align project supply with demand.
Establish IT planning processes that synchronize business and IT strategies, enhancing organizational focus and priorities.
Help manage and report on the IT budget, ensuring accurate invoicing practices are maintained.
Train and guide IT team members on best practices and processes.
Provide clear and transparent reporting to the business and executive team regarding IT operations and service delivery effectiveness.
Facilitate the ongoing development and maintenance of the IT Strategic Plan and Roadmap, ensuring it supports resource management, governance, and technology approaches.
Stay informed about Windows USA’s broader strategy and objectives to maintain alignment.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures, ensuring they deliver value to the organization and increase awareness and adoption.
Lead change control procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
Manage the change management process, making sure all releases comply with IT controls and enterprise standards.
Collaborate with IT and audit teams to compile compliance evidence and reporting required for audits.
Assist in optimizing IT spending and support strategic decision-making within the department.
Inspire and motivate staff to embrace new ideas and build strong collaborative relationships within the IT organization.
Mentor IT staff and work with third-party vendors as needed.
Support the recruitment, training, and performance management of IT professionals to achieve departmental goals.
Track service levels and quality of deliverables from both internal teams and third-party providers.
Provide project management leadership for assigned projects, overseeing requirements gathering, planning, and execution to stay on time and within budget.
Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver excellent service to operations and other stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans that support company goals and enhance operational capabilities.
Guide Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT and business technology projects.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent IT experience.
10+ years in progressive leadership roles within IT organizations, with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic planning capacity.
5+ years of experience using Jira for Agile and Scrum project tracking.
Proven experience managing IT budgets of $1M or more.
5+ years of managing large infrastructure and application projects.
Leadership experience in directing an IT PMO with a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
Preferably 5+ years leading teams of developers, business analysts, or systems engineers.
Experience in portfolio management, strategic planning, program management, and IT governance processes.
Familiarity with frameworks like COBIT or ITIL is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on detail and critical thinking.
Excellent understanding of business processes and technology integration.
