We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our Information Technology Department as an Associate Director and work as part of a team to drive success. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, independent, and highly flexible within a fast-paced environment.
The Associate Director, IT will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals, mitigating risks, ensure that the company’s IT infrastructure, applications, and data systems support its growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
- Serve as a technology advisor to the executive team, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive data management strategy, including data governance, quality, and integration.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the company has productive and secure compliant IT systems.
Strategic Planning :
Developing long-term plans to meet the information needs of an organization. This includes aligning the IT strategy with the company’s business objectives and ensuring technological resources meet the company's future needs.Monitor the performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.IT Security :
Ensure the company’s IT operations are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards, managing risks related to data privacy and cybersecurity.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.Regulatory Compliance :
Stay abreast of industry regulatory requirements, ensuring all IT systems, data privacy, protection regulations and practices comply.Ensuring all IT practices and systems comply with relevant laws and regulations. This includes managing relevant systems to meet SOX, 21 CFP Part 11, GxP, HIPPA.Infrastructure Management :
Overseeing the physical and software infrastructure necessary to support the organization's operations. This includes maintaining SaaS apps, cloud servers, data centers, network architecture, and end-user devices.Risk Management :
Ensuring the security of IT systems and managing the risks related to data security and cyber threats. This includes developing security protocols and disaster recovery plans.Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary remediation measures.Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Security and Compliance.Technology Implementation :
Leading the adoption of new technologies that enhance the company's operational efficiency and competitive edge. This involves researching emerging technologies, evaluating their relevance to the organization's goals, and implementing the most beneficial ones.Budget Management :
Directing and overseeing IT projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they deliver the intended benefits, stay on schedule, and remain within budget.Develop and manage the IT services budget, resource allocation, and project prioritization, ensuring cost-effective operations and the optimal use of resources.Vendor Management :
Cultivate relationships with technology partners and vendors to ensure access to the latest innovations and support.Change Management :
Leading change initiatives in the organization to enhance business processes through technology. This includes managing the human factors in IT deployment to ensure smooth transitions and minimal resistance.Staff Management :

Qualifications :
Industry Experience : 12+ years of experience in information systems.Managerial Experience : 5 years in a managerial role, with a proven track record in department-level budgeting and strategic IT planning.Regulatory Compliance Expertise : Strong experience in implementing and managing information systems compliant with SOX, 21 CFR Part 11, and GxP. Successfully led and completed audits for these regulations, ensuring adherence to strict standards.Cybersecurity Implementation : Skilled in deploying IT security measures to protect organizational IT systems. Demonstrated ability to enhance company-wide cybersecurity defenses. Hands on experience with Intune, ManageEngine, Rapid7 or similar MDR system.Computer Network Knowledge : Demonstrated deep understanding of IT infrastructure and operations. Understand architecture design, configuration, and troubleshooting of LAN / WAN, firewalls, and cloud-based networks.Technical Proficiency in Microsoft Systems : Hands-on management experience with Microsoft Identity Management systems (AD / Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Proven capability in overseeing these critical IT components.Administration Experience in Business Applications : Hands-on experience in administration of NetSuite, IQVIAPolicy and Procedure Development : Experienced in formulating and implementing comprehensive IT policies and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the company.Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in biotech / pharmaceutical industry a plus.Required Key Attributes :
Must be able to work independently as well in cross-functional team settings with supervision as needed.Strong understanding of project timelines and plans / coordinate project work accordingly with departmental, functional, and external stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards exploring new approaches.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Experienced in effectively presenting complex technical data to cross-functional teams and senior management, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to take a hands-on approach to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative, fast-paced environment.Adaptable / Flexible - willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities as well as an ability to meet day-to-day challenges with confidence and professionalism.Compensation :
