The incumbent in this position is assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying, and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.

• Reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy and referring incomplete or inaccurate reports to appropriate staff for correction.
• Preparing statistical, case, and other types of reports.
• Preparing materials and forms and gathering all pertinent information and data for admissions and discharges.
• Ensuring all data is properly coded.
• Preparing and entering the facility census info and reporting the data.Job Type / Salary :
• Full time, one vacancy
• 34,500.00 annually ($16.59 / hour)
• Primary Working Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• FLSA Status : Non-ExemptMinimum Qualifications and Experience : Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of eligibility for accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT); or two years of experience working with patient records in a medical setting such as a hospital, state institution, medical clinic or a physician's office.Special Requirements : Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.Benefit Highlights : ODMHSAS is proud to provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our employees and their dependents. This position will be responsible for working as part of a treatment team to provide case management for facility consumers. The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature.THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY.
