Position Overview

The new Eastern General Hospital (EGH) is expected to open by 2030. As the newest public sector hospital, EGH aspires to leverage new digital technologies and smart systems to support the transformation of healthcare delivery, and to create a productive and high-performing workplace for staff.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a visionary and experienced leader to provide strategic Information Technology (IT) leadership, identifying and addressing the IT needs of the new hospital. You will lead a team in establishing IT requirements for a new acute hospital and in implementing IT systems, ensuring the integrity of business operations, and developing innovative solutions for secure, seamless operations.

Additionally, you will ensure that EGH’s IT strategy aligns with cluster and national plans and objectives. You will also develop procedures and processes to ensure that the new IT systems developed comply with public healthcare IT security policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent, with at least 16 years of IT management and leadership experience in the healthcare sector.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, along with strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills; capable of leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, demonstrating effective teamwork.
• Knowledge of IT security matters, including security infrastructure design, operations, and compliance, would be an advantage.
• High energy, self-confidence and enthusiasm, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels within the organization.
