What will your day look like? As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer, you will:
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and support for enterprise infrastructure components including servers, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment
• Administer and support enterprise network and infrastructure environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
• Monitor and respond to system and network alerts, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, load balancing configurations, and network segmentation strategies
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
• Conduct root cause analysis and problem resolution efforts to improve system stability and reduce recurring incidents
• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational standards
• Support enterprise networking initiatives involving Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and security best practices
• Assist with infrastructure modernization efforts across networking, virtualization, cloud, and server environments
You will be a good fit for the Infrastructure Operations Engineer role if you have:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and enterprise infrastructure operations
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, dynamic routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network security
• Experience working with Cisco networking equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, and Meraki wireless technologies
• Experience troubleshooting VoIP and video conferencing issues at the network level
• Knowledge of ISP connectivity, provider services, and network troubleshooting methodologies
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and exposure to public cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools including PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA, PCNSE, or VCP are highly desirable
