We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager / Inside Sales to join our sales team, focusing on client retention and development. This role is critical in nurturing and expanding relationships with our existing client base, driving revenue growth through account retention, upselling, cross-selling, and generating referrals from satisfied customers. Based primarily in our office, you will leverage warm leads, strong communication skills, and a consultative approach to deliver tailored facility solutions that meet client needs. This position is perfect for a sales-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about building lasting client relationships while contributing to the company's strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management : Maintain consistent, proactive communication with existing clients through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings, conducting regular account reviews to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify evolving facility needs, acting as the primary point of contact between clients and operational teams.
  • Account Growth and Development : Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services, such as janitorial, maintenance, security, or concierge solutions, while cultivating referrals through trust-based relationships to expand the client portfolio.
  • Sales and Outreach Activities : Execute a high volume of daily client outreach calls, meticulously maintain and update CRM records to track interactions and opportunities, and actively participate in daily accountability calls to align with team goals and report progress.
  • Strategic Collaboration : Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop customized proposals, participate in client meetings (virtual or occasional in-person), and support major account initiatives, ensuring seamless service delivery and alignment with client expectations.
  • Industry Awareness : Stay informed about trends in facility management, property management, and related industries to position our services as proactive solutions for client challenges, such as operational efficiency, safety compliance, and enhanced occupant experiences.
  • Team Contribution : Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and occasional virtual events to share insights, contribute to lead generation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in service offerings.

Qualifications

  • 25 years of proven experience in inside sales, account management, or a similar client-facing role, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse clients effectively through phone, email, and virtual platforms, delivering compelling and tailored proposals.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and comfort with high-volume client outreach, including daily calls and detailed record-keeping.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering value and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in facility management, property management, or related industries, with knowledge of janitorial, maintenance, security, or concierge service requirements.
  • Established relationships within the New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut property management, real estate, or facility services sectors, enabling faster rapport with key decision-makers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in sales or client management will be considered.
  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish or Mandarin) are a plus, given our diverse client base in the tri-state area.
  • Performance Expectations

  • Achieve high client retention rates through proactive engagement, exceptional service, and consistent follow-up, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
  • Drive measurable account growth by securing upsell / cross-sell opportunities and generating referrals, contributing to the expansion of the client portfolio.
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily and monthly activity targets, including call volume, client interactions, and CRM documentation.
  • Contribute significantly to team revenue goals by supporting strategic account initiatives and collaborating on innovative service solutions.
  • Compensation

    This position offers a competitive base salary of $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, complemented by a performance-based commission structure.
