The Position : Quality Control Inspector
As a Quality Control Inspector at CandleScience, you will be tasked with ensuring all inbound, manufactured, and returned products meet the high-quality standards that our customers expect from one of the nation's leading suppliers.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials upon arrival or during / after manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.
Responsibilities :
- Inspects and approves materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Inspects post-production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
- Inspects customer returns for damage and usage and re-work or repackages as necessary
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and records data in the appropriate system.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
