Job Summary
The Instructional Designer Specialist is responsible for designing and developing engaging training content that supports TriWest employees and external stakeholders, including beneficiaries, Providers, and DHA employees. This role focuses on creating e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, and blended learning solutions using established instructional design methodologies. The Instructional Designer Specialist collaborates with subject matter experts and training staff to ensure content accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
Education & Experience
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
- 3 years of experience in designing self-paced, instructor-led, blended learning, video, and e-Learning training programs
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Rise, or Camtasia
- Familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick)

Problem Solving / Analysis : Identifies issues and delays in onboarding processes through data analysis and stakeholder feedback. Proposes practical solutions to improve cycle time, reduce errors, and enhance the employee experience.
Technical Skills : Understands enterprise systems architecture and the requirements for provisioning user access to applications and platforms across departments. Able to work with IT, security, and system owners to navigate access protocols and ensure timely system availability.
