Job Title : Configuration and Deployment TechnicianLocation : Phoenix, Arizona (100% Onsite)Number of Positions : 3Job Description : The Configuration and Deployment Technician (C&D Tech) within ADOT’s Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of IT hardware for the agency. Key duties include : Managing IT hardware procurement, lifecycle, and inventory functionsPicking and stocking IT hardware in / out of secure inventoryConducting weekly and monthly physical inventory processesMaintaining policies, standards, and systems for effective IT asset portfolio management including cost control, compliance, risk management, and IT governanceAssisting with obtaining hardware quotes and receiving equipment from vendorsConfiguring and deploying IT equipment to internal and external customers in the Phoenix areaProcessing end-of-life equipment for disposal according to standards and proceduresQualifications & Requirements : Experience : 1-3 years in IT asset lifecycle management, service level monitoring, compliance reporting1-3 years with IT asset management tools and discovery products1-3 years facilitating hardware purchases with vendors and customers1-3 years experience with Active Directory, Windows 10 / 11, MS System Center Configuration Manager, and ServiceNow HAMMinimum 7 years of total IT experience in a related fieldTechnical Skills : Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) — 3-5 yearsGoogle Suite experience — 3-5 yearsKnowledge of Ethernet networking terminology and troubleshootingComputer hardware configuration and troubleshooting skillsAdvanced troubleshooting, problem definition, and alternative analysisSoft Skills : Excellent written and verbal business communication skillsFace-to-face customer service experienceRequirements gathering and financial management knowledgeUnderstanding of procurement rules and regulationsOther : Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferredMust have a current Arizona driver’s license with a good driving record
