Job Description
DUTIES : Deliver, develop, and revise training curriculum specific to customer’s mission. The curriculum generally consists of lecture followed by laboratory exercises to allow for monitoring the student’s ability to demonstrate proficiency in operating the system. Use only provided and authorized teaching aids such as (but not limited to) lesson plans, student guides, lab guides, handouts, wall charts, prepared notes, and use of actual system equipment. Conducts classroom administration, to include (but not limited to) conducting student orientation on the first day of class as indicated on the Student Orientation Briefing slides or other provided media; taking initial roll call, indicating any changes and making proper notification regarding all No Shows; maintaining a class roster; submitting final grades as prescribed; proposing recommendations for improvements, based on class outcomes at the conclusion of each class; identify the need for additional classroom resources and communicate these needs; follow prepared lesson plans and ensures stated course objectives are presented; measure student performance by using skill practices and tests; use course curriculum to help ensure that operational objectives are achieved; and utilize such teaching methods as lecture, lab demonstrations, remedial discussion, and coaching. Proficiency on all safety-related procedures and guidelines for the equipment is required to conduct and continue conducting training.
SKILLS : Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent; OR Governemnt, Military or private sector specific training on similar systems is required. Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience is required in a) Technical : electrical engineering, electronics technology, electro-mechanics technology, information technology or logistics; OR b) Industrial : electronics technology, mechanical electronics technology or logistics.
Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction. Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures and opoerations is highly desired. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance.
