Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION :
- A Resident Life Navigator at Catholic Charities :
- Provide crisis intervention and milieu management to provide a safe, stable, and positive environment.
- Adhere to and enforce shelter rules.
- Answer phone calls including crisis calls and return all messages left.
- Provide information, referral, and advocacy to shelter residents and crisis callers.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Orient new participants to shelter and explain house rules.
- Monitor and check daily chores.
- Perform room checks and hold residents accountable to the regulations and polices of Marisol Homes.
- Complete regular urine drug screenings of participants.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly supervisions as scheduled.
- Participate in the upkeep of the house, report all maintenance, food, and supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Complete safety check at start of each shift and frequently throughout shift.
- Supports, promotes, and adheres to Catholic Charities' vision, mission, values, and Code of Ethics.
- Reflects Catholic Charities' commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
- Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
- Regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
20 plus $1 bilingual differential Shift Every other weekend Saturday & Sunday 8a-8p
