The Insurance Verification Coordinator will play a crucial role in reviewing and understanding insurance contracts, calculating patient responsibilities, and explaining benefits to patients. Responsibilities :
Accurately interpret and understand insurance benefits
Read and determine the allowed amount for scheduled procedures from contracts
Calculate patient's estimated responsibilities based on their benefits and scheduled procedures
Explain to patients their estimated balances and benefits
Understand different insurance products such as HMO, PPO, and Medicare Advantage plans
Work well within a team and under pressure
Handle a fast-paced and heavy volume work environment
Understand how copay, coinsurance, deductible and out-of-pocket maximum affect claim adjudication and patient responsibility
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
Familiarity with insurance verification procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
