We are hiring a detail-oriented and organized and experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join a dynamic team for a large surgery center in the city of Los Alamitos. Ambulatory experience and Bilingual Spanish are a plus! Must be a quick learner.

Hourly Pay Rate : $23-$24 p / hour

Schedule : Monday-Thursday 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m., Friday's can be 12pm to 5pm. Hours are 30-35 per week Will float to where needed

Main Job Duties : Handle registrations, check in, insurance verification, scheduling.

Computer savvy, familiar with EMR Epic and PPO / s, HMO / s and POS / s.

Other duties : Processing insurance plans for a high volume of patient load. This clinic sees high volume patients in a day for multiple providers! This person must have great knowledge of California insurance plans and trainable. This person will be required to contact insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorization for service.

Position Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with Insurance Verifications
• High School Diploma
• Good communication skills including verbal and written
• Good work history and positive references
• Computer skills including EMR

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
