As a member of our Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS) team, you will play a crucial role in evolving this exciting service line, delivering impactful solutions that enhance business operations. Your expertise will assist clients in driving growth, managing risks, and optimizing costs.
Your key responsibilities
- Support our Client Engagement teams with a variety of actuarial tasks including financial modeling, loss reserving, regulatory reporting, product development, and pricing analysis.
- Engage in litigation support, customer analytics, rate setting, and other projects that require your analytical skills.
- Collaborate effectively to tackle complex issues and deliver business insights that drive informed decision-making.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or a related field, accompanied by an impressive academic record.
- A minimum of 2 completed actuarial exams is preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Internship experience in the actuarial field is highly desirable.
- Reliable transportation options to travel to the EY office and client locations, as necessary.
- Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours as needed by project demands.
Ideally, you will have:
- A growth-oriented mindset, a passion for continuous learning, and a collaborative approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a foundation in business and technology.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Excel VBA, R, or Python.
- A keen interest in using technology to enhance business operations and influence outcomes positively.
