Key Responsibilities
Classify mortality risks objectively using company guidelines while considering profitability and market needs
Apply sound financial underwriting and product knowledge in accordance with industry practices
Handle and approve underwriting cases with authority expectations of at least $1,000,000
Required Qualifications and Education
Thorough knowledge of underwriting principles, practices, and life insurance contract law
High School diploma or equivalent experience required
Demonstrated ability to exercise good underwriting judgment decisively
Experience managing a full underwriting caseload
Understanding of financial underwriting and field operations
