Full-Time Prescription Intake Pharmacist
Location : Hybrid – 8 Weeks Onsite (77018), Then Remote
Shift : 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends | 11 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
About the Role :
Revive Rx Pharmacy is growing! We’re seeking a Full-Time Prescription Intake Pharmacist who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. In this key role, you will oversee the intake of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication between providers, patients, and our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities :
Receive incoming prescriptions via electronic systems, fax, and phone; validate patient details, medications, and provider instructions.
Accurately input prescription data into our pharmacy management system, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Conduct medication order reviews to identify interactions, allergies, or dosage issues and collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve them.
Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providing medication counseling and addressing questions regarding usage, side effects, or interactions.
Work closely with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and external providers to resolve prescription-related issues and ensure timely processing.
Maintain complete and confidential records of all prescription intake activities in compliance with HIPAA.
Perform regular audits to maintain data accuracy and flag discrepancies.
Stay informed of pharmacy regulations, intake process improvements, and participate in ongoing training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy school.
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in prescription intake and prior authorization; remote experience preferred.
