Mechanical / Electrical Integration Engineer

ACS is looking for an Integration Engineer to join our team.

The individual will work with engineers of varied disciplines to provide assistance with industrial process and test equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning. This position is based out of our regional office in Troy, MI.

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

• Assist in reviewing the layout of test systems and equipment with all project team members and clients.
• Work with facility designers and test equipment vendors to ensure the requirements will be met for both the facility and equipment designs in the project.
• Assist Project Engineers in working with clients and vendors to specify, procure, and manage the design / delivery of major test equipment, including instrumentation, dynamometers, data acquisition systems, and emissions equipment.
• Assist Project Engineers in working with machine design, mechanical, instrumentation & controls, and manufacturing groups to design and build custom hardware and components required to support testing projects / processes.
• Assist Project Engineers with managing vendors and sub-contractors during installation and commissioning phases of test facility projects.
• Working knowledge with at least two of the following : emissions equipment & standards (gaseous & particulate), battery testing, EV drivelines, alternative fuels, data acquisition systems, dynamometers (chassis and engine), instrumentation, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining engineering drawings associated with test cell / facility integrated test equipment.
• Participate in and supervise equipment installation and test cell commissioning execution.
• Able to work flexible hours as part of a group that must provide 24 / 7 support to the testing and automation systems.
