Intellectual Property Manager, ASEAN (Luxury Goods Retail)
Our client is a leading global luxury goods player, with a wide range of well-recognized brands across product categories. They are seeking a high-caliber IP Manager to support these brands on intellectual property matters relating to brand enforcement, with a focus on ASEAN markets.
Responsibilities :
- Proactive detection of offline IP infringement issues for brands, analyze the issue, devise feasible solutions, and manage enforcement of the cases effectively and efficiently in accordance with the country IP law landscape, the IP strategy, and corporate KPI.
- Proactive management of online enforcement program in accordance with strategy and goals; focusing on detecting infringement, new trends, solutions, adjusting notice to take down programs, and engaging and managing partnership programs with key ASEAN platforms and social media companies.
- Work closely with all relevant law enforcement authorities, especially customs, relating to enforcement cases and matters.
- Conduct brand awareness training for law enforcement to increase brand identity and engagement.
- Proactive management and close collaboration with lawyers and investigators regarding day-to-day enforcement matters; both online and offline.
- Attend to product verification and court testimony as necessary.
- Maintain IP cases database and management system, manage budget, and assist in preparing reporting for brands locally.
- Work as one team and in close collaboration with the Legal Intellectual Property team in Asia, brands, and Headquarters for all intellectual property and brand protection matters for ASEAN.
- Manage and work closely with the local business team in a timely manner.
- Ad hoc tasks as may be assigned from time to time, e.g., assist in handling evidence collection or investigation for prosecution cases (i.e., oppositions and cancellations) as necessary.
