Job Summary :
Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a Gas Accountant or Senior Gas Accountant to join our team. The final title will reflect the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This position will be responsible for preparing invoices, settlement statements, reconciliations, and internal and regulatory reports. This position will have a high level of customer interaction and will work with other team members and departments to reconcile counterparty invoices.
Location : This position is onsite in Omaha, NE.
Essential Job Functions :
- Review and verify supplier invoices for volume and price accuracy
- Communicate with various departments including Trading, Scheduling, Contract Compliance, and Deal Capture Control to understand deal and contract terms and appropriately resolve volume and price discrepancies
- Prepare payment requests consistent with the terms of the agreements
- Post cash receipts to GMS (Gas Management System) ensuring agreement with bank statements
- Reconcile volumes invoiced to pipeline statements and record appropriate adjustments in GMS
- Assist with the reconciliation of GMS data to the general ledger
- Assist in the process of matching nominations to deals and reconcile differences
- Respond to customer and supplier settlement questions in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare internal reports and regulatory filings
