Senior Accountant - Inventory

Dallas - onsite

One of Vaco’s middle market PE backed clients is building out a presence in Dallas and is looking to onboard a Senior Accountant as part of that growth.  Accountants will be responsible for the day to day inventory accounting and bring process improvements / efficiencies to the table - they are looking to scale in the next couple of years.

Base compensation ranges from 90-105k

Day-to-day

• Prepare and post inventory journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all entries.

Perform regular reconciliations for inventory accounts

Participate in the month-end closing process, including preparing accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjusting journal entries.

Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts and monitor budget variances, providing insights to department leaders.

Support external audit requirements by preparing requested documentation and maintaining accurate records. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Collaborate with the accounting team on ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and system enhancements as needed.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience : 5-8 years of experience in accounting or related fields, with familiarity in general ledger functions, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) is a plus.

Public accounting and CPA is a big plus
