Job Summary
The Inventory Control Manager is accountable for supporting the materials management and inventory control system in their facility in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure acceptable inventory levels. This position reports directly to the Regional General Manager with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Manager, Procurement.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and monitor various system reports to determine what materials management action should be taken (order or liquidate material)
- Supervise and monitor system data input to ensure accuracy of inventory reports generated. This would include, but not be limited to all manual forecasts
- Participate in physical inventories and reconciliation of various reports such as daily billing register, gross margin exceptions, negative inventory and related reports and reconcile errors to maintain the system within acceptable standards of accuracy
- Assist the sales force by providing inventory information for use in sales planning and customer delivery
- Maintain various records and documents to support material receipt and inventory adjustment transactions
- Other related activities as needed
