POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibility will be to proactively manage all aspects of the inventory management and control function independently, effectively, accurately and in a timely manner on the assigned unit(s). Interacts favorably with all Materials Management, Clinical and Nursing personnel to achieve optimum cost savings, inventory flow, control and prevention of overstocking and excessive informal inventories. Will be responsible for cleaning any medical equipment that touches a patient. A personal commitment to treat all Health System customers with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism and adherence to the University Health Commitment to Service Excellence behaviors and standards.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of two years experience in supply operations plus inventory control background is preferred. Familiarity with automated inventory systems is preferred. The ability to speak, read, write, and understand oral and written instructions, numbers, PAR levels and statistical data is essential.
