The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control and merchandising to ensure that the dealership maintains stock levels and inventory protection while providing the highest level of customer service and sales. This position involves coordinating inventory manager processes, developing strategies to minimize costs while maximizing efficiency, and ensuring that the dealership meets customer demands.
Position Responsibilities
Supervises and mentor the Shipping and Receiving teams to ensure adherence to established inventory procedures.
Execute all necessary computer functions, including parts creation, receiving, ordering, returns processing, price and cost updates, adjustments, credits, and other administrative duties.
Manage the cycle count process to ensure counts are conducted in accordance with the standard operating procedure.
Maintains bins by ensuring parts are in alphanumeric order, bins are free from debris, and all parts are clearly labeled.
Processes parts credit requests and manage returns (local, quarterly, etc.)
Oversee obsolescence management, ensuring timely identification and resolution of obsolete inventory.
Handle aging returns, conducting investigations and expediting resolutions as necessary.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory-related inquires while demonstrating the ability to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Manage showroom merchandising in alignment with the parts department's plan.
Collaborate with the Parts and Service counter to track lost sales, forecast trends, and ensure appropriate stocking of parts.
Assist in setting minimum and maximum inventory levels.
Manage all freight claims and ensure compensation for damaged and lost freight.
Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in the warehouse, showroom, and adjacent areas.
All other duties and responsibilities as directed and required.
Requirements
A minimum of 1 years' experience at Kraft Tank Corporation and / or a related industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and proactively address issues to support business objectives.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with parts management systems and lead tracking tools (CC360, HubSpot) is a plus.
Experience in Salesforce or similar systems.
Highly proficient in Office 365 applications.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communications.
Ability to meet deadlines.
A positive can do attitude.
A valid Driver's License.
A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, crouch, or crawl for long period of time
Computer work as needed in an office setting to keep the department running efficiently
Travel as needed to other locations by vehicle, plane, or train
